Drug Uses Trileptal is used to treat epilepsy and other seizures (fits) and is also used for the treatment of epilepsy-related mental health conditions. It works by balancing the brain chemicals involved in seizure control. The active ingredient is Trileptal, a synthetic antiepileptic medication that works by preventing the reuptake of sodium and chloride in the nerve cells of the brain.

How Does Trileptal Work?

Trileptal is a medicine that is used to treat seizures and to treat epilepsy-related mental health conditions. It is also sometimes used to treat depression, anxiety, and insomnia. Trileptal helps to regulate the release of neurotransmitters (serotonin and norepinephrine) in the brain. This helps to relieve seizures and to prevent sleepiness and other mental disorders.

Trileptal is a medicine that is prescribed to treat epilepsy and to treat seizures. The drug is taken orally by mouth, usually as a single dose that is taken every 6 hours while the patient is awake. It is important to take the drug at the same time every day to maintain the effectiveness of the drug. The drug should be taken at the same time every day and should not be split or chewed.

Some common side effects of Trileptal are drowsiness, dizziness, weakness, headache, dry mouth, blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation.
